About the Course
In this foundational course, Dr. Jennifer Sarrett introduces the concept of neurodiversity and why it’s essential for building more inclusive environments—in schools, workplaces, and communities. You’ll learn how to define neurodiversity, understand the difference between medical and social models of disability, explore the role of language, and unpack some of the most common (and harmful) myths. Grounded in a justice-based framework, this course centers respect, strength, and identity over deficit—and gives you the tools to think more critically and compassionately about how we talk about and support neurodivergent people.
